“Exuberance is beauty”. Sara has a strong physical practice that embodies the joy of living and her classes reflect her desire to inspire and nurture that energy in others. Sara’s teaching style is gently encouraging, enlivened by eclectic music, warmth, humor, and a humble respect for the emotional and physical variables in each student’s individual practice. Sara came to yoga seeking a form of exercise that would stretch and challenge her body, calm mental chatter, and revitalize her spirit after long days of commuting and working in a professional office environment. When Sara’s two grown children left an empty nest and she began to spend more time “on the mat” change happened: like the slow drip of water in a cave which, over time, forms a beautiful strong sculpture, yoga was gradually weaving the physical, mental, and spiritual strands of Sara’s life into a more integrated whole. Sara’s experience of “growing up and growing into” yoga gives her empathy and affection for students at any stage of life as they navigate the ups and downs of self-discovery. Grateful for the gifts of joy and vitality through the practice of yoga Sara became a certified Yoga Alliance 200-hour vinyasa flow instructor to continue her own journey of exploration and to celebrate with students as they uncover their own path to deeper living and breathing.
